What is UMW?
United Methodist Women is the largest denominational faith organization for women with approximately 800,000 members worldwide whose mission is fostering spiritual growth, developing leaders and advocating for justice.
Here at OPUMC, all women are part of the UMW. There are no dues or fees, just a commitment to the purpose of the United Methodist Women.* Our activities include a few gatherings with a purpose, annual cookie sale, fish dinners and mother-child event. We participate in Niagara Frontier District and Upper NY Conference UMW events.Our President, Carolyn Wrinn, would be glad to answer any questions. Members raise up to $20 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.
